The Gaming Floor
We have been operating since 1999, and the floor at Great Northern Casino has changed a lot from those early days. Our property is at 10910 107 Avenue in Grande Prairie, Alberta - the biggest city in the province north of Edmonton. It is a permanent, full-scale casino, not a temporary setup. Think classic Vegas-style layout, live table action and a slot section that covers what you would normally expect from a regional casino of this size.
On the main floor, you will find around 424 slot machines across approximately 30,000 square feet of gaming space. For a northern Alberta venue, that is a solid count. The 30 VLTs are grouped in the northwest corner of the building so you do not have to wander the full floor to find them. If VLTs are what you want, you can head straight to that side.
We run the following table games:

Poker has its own corner as well. There are four dedicated poker tables, listed on PokerAtlas, which makes us a practical stop for card players traveling through the Peace River Country region. It is not a giant poker room, but it is active and regularly in use.

Hours and Getting Here
Slots are open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 4:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, so late sessions are possible if that is your style. Table games follow a different timetable: Sunday 12:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m.; Monday and Tuesday 2:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m.; Wednesday through Saturday 12:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m. It is not hard to follow, but it is worth confirming before you head out.
To double-check table game hours for a specific day, call us at 780-539-4454. Guest Services answers at the main number 780-539-4454, extension 0 - for ticket sales and general questions. One quick call usually clears up everything: table times, show details, what is running that evening.
A small but useful reminder, and it really applies to any casino visit: if you are planning your night around a certain show or a particular table game, call the day before to confirm hours. Schedules and start times can shift more often than websites get updated.
Live Entertainment
Grande Prairie is not packed with big live venues, so over time we have stepped into that space. Our events calendar runs through the year and brings in rock bands, country artists, tribute acts, and stand-up comedy. The entertainment is part of the same experience as the gaming floor - one property, one visit.
Tickets are sold in two ways:

The full show list is posted at greatnortherncasino.net/events, with dates, performer info and ticket details. We also share updates through our Instagram account, @greatnortherncasino. New show announcements and changes tend to land there first.
One thing we have been clear about on Instagram: from time to time, third-party accounts send messages about reselling tickets or offering giveaways that are not real. Best approach is to ignore those completely. All valid ticket purchases go only through Guest Services or the official phone line, nothing else.
